2. Your weight is already normal
Your body may be resisting weight loss because your weight is already normal. If you have a body mass index that is between 18 and 25, it’s likely that you are not going to lose additional weight. Instead of stressing about weight loss, exercise and stick to a well-balanced diet.
3. You are eating too little
Many people think that by eating too little, they will be able to lose weight drastically. If this is what you have been doing, it may be the reason why you are not losing weight. If you are on a starvation diet, your body will be forced to hang on to its fat reserves. It will shut down its weight loss mechanism. You should stick to a high fiber, low fat does to prevent yourself from starving, feeling hungry and developing cravings. Exercise regularly to stimulate your metabolism.
4. You are eating too much of the “good things”
There is an assumption that eating food that are considered to be “healthy” does not lead to weight gain. This assumption may make you eat too much of the good foods thinking that you are not going to gain weight. All foods have calories. This is a very important fact that you must remember when you are in a quest to lose weight. The food healthy foods should be eaten in proper proportions when you want to lose weight. Know the calories that in all types of foods that you intend to eat. This will help you prevent yourself from eating too much of the “good foods”.
5. Your medication
If you are sure that you are doing everything right but you are not losing weight, you should talk to your doctor about your medications. This is because there are many medications that can lead to weight gain. If you are taking a medication that is preventing weight loss, ask your doctor to prescribe an alternative medication or if you can stop taking the medication altogether.
